Naturally Bronzed

I'm really getting bored with nuetrals and wanted to play in my colors but I had to meet with a "very" important person today which I will explain in another post if all goes well. So I stuck with matte neautrals using my UD Naked Palette.
I also have been looking for a bronzer for quite some time now and am giving the Cover girl natural hue minerals bronzer in Brown a shot. Can you notice it? I'm not sure if the camera really got it. If any of you know some good bronzers for women of color, let me know.



So this was my look for the day, a naturally bronze look. Tomorrow, back to playing in my colors. And in other news, Diondra moved out today. I like her new place and will post pics once shes all settled in. Now I'm moving to Diondras old room and Alyssia is taking over mine. It's just me and mini me now

My mom's smokey eye

My mother's best friend is getting married and she suggested she use me for her wedding day. Well the bride decided to go with a makeup artist. The same day she came, the bridesmaids came and I practiced on one of them. The bridesmaids loved my look more than the mua and want me instead =) They want to convince the bride to use me so today my mom is meeting up with the bride. She told me to give her a smokey eye because that's what I gave the other bridesmaid. So this is what I did.


This look would have been a lot well put together if I had foundation for her and she obviously can't wear mine but trust me, I would have gone all out with foundation, bronzer, and a nude lip. Maybe this weekend I'll pick her up some foundation. Here is what I used

Meet the new members of my brush family =)

I'm so excited because I finally have all the brushes I've ever wanted! It took forever but I'm happy. Last night, an hour before the mall closed I went to MAC for some retail therapy thanks to my parents, they each bought me a brush. Meet the 168 and the 239.
These brushes are so freaken dense and soft and OMG I already love them. Here is my LOTD. I just love how my blush and contour applied and watch out Jess (Weighing down on beauty) we are in blush competition now! haha

As for Marjorie's wake, like I said before I never knew anyone who died before and I feel like I just cant bring myself to see her in a casket. I know I would just break down and lose myself. I would rather remember last seeing her happy and alive than in a casket. Again, thanks for all the condolences. R.I.P Marjie, I'm tearing as I write this. I am going to miss you so so so so much!!!!!!

CCO in New Jersey
So I finally went to the only CCO in New Jersey. It's just as if your going to the jersey shore but closer and the ride wasn't as bad as I thought it would. This is definitely my new makeup stop =D Here's what I got

I cannot wait to play in all of this tomorrow. Today is going to be a busy day. I'm heading to work now and after work I'm gona see Alyssia before her Father Daughter Dance (will take pix), go straight to Marjorie's wake =(, then to a restaurant to celebrate Aneesah's new job. Luckily I'm wearing my EL 15 hr foundation and this baby hasn't budged since 7am *woot woot*
The picture doesn't really capture the lustre drops and blush as good as I want, but I still wanted to show it. I'll have better pictures tomorrow

I would also like to thank you all for such nice and warm comments on the passing of my friend. It really meant alot. Love you all. I have a lot of catching up to do on commenting everyone's blog but I'll get to it. I cant never leave Blogger.

R.I.P to a good friend

I've never lost anyone who I actually knew before. Reality still hasn't set in and I can't believe it. Today, I lost a good friend, Marjorie. She has been with me since Summer 08 when I first started school. She was my mentor and later throughout the 3 years has become the most positive friend and person I ever have known. I miss you Marjorie. I will miss seeing you on campus, in the cafeteria, in the office =( I love you and rest in peace

A Fresh Face

I love having more time to do my makeup this week since I'm not in school, but I still have work and as much as I'm obsessed with the smokey eye, I can't wear it to work. This is what my normal "fresh face" or "no makeup-makeup look"



Just Clinique Foundation, Posey blushcreme, Blacktrack Liner, L'oreal Voluminous Mascara, and Revlon Pink Ice Lipgloss. Very simple, fresh faced, and work appropriate =)

In other news, I'm in the process of planning a surprise for Diondra & Johane. They have always done so much for me and always looked out for me being the youngest. With Diondra's boyfriend being a promoter, I'm saving up for us to do VIP, going all out with a bottle & everything. It costs $180 and I plan to do this the last Thursday of school in May to celebrate the end of the semester. Shh, its a secret :X Hopefully I won't go to crazy at IMATS...yea right

I was supposed to get shoes but....

I went to the mall for shoes this morning, and left with this

Clinique Even Better Foundation the life of a makeup addict, right?
But I have a good reason, I'm running low on my Estee Lauder foundation and since I love it so much, I decided to buy this to last me for a while.
The coverage is moderate and retails for $24.50 which is pretty good for a high end brand. I'm the shade Amber and it's a pretty good match. Here are the pix of me wearing it:


I like coverage and it covers my acne scars pretty well. And by the way, I didn't leave the mall with shoes like I was supposed too...oops :X
