Grey Skies Are Gona Clear Up...

Due to my horrible weekend, I decided to be a little daring and try a blue look, my own personal inspiration because like the song says, "Grey Skies are gonna clear up, put on a happy face" :) Cheesy I know but it's true. So my eyes are for the clear skies that will come eventually.
This is not my best work and I'm terrible at working with blues, but you never learn unless you challenge yourself, right?

Day to Night Look

Hey beauties! I know there are tons of videos and tutorials on how to take your makeup from day to night, but for fun I wanted to show you all how I personally do it.
Day Look

My eyes are my usual everyday, MAC Woodwinked on the lid and Handwritten in the crease. On my lips is MAC l/s in Fresh Brew.
Night Look

Leaving Woodwinked and Handwritten, I used my MAC 219 (Pencil Brush) and applied the black eyeshadow from my CS Regular Palette on the outer corner and blended it with a tapered blending brush. I also lined my waterline. I then added more blush from my CS Blush Palette and contoured with Brun. For the lips, I applied Cyndi Lauper Lipglass.
What do you think? Simple and quick!
xoxo Stay beautiful

Half Made Up!

TGIF! I did half my face tonight for fun to see a difference with and without makeup on my face. This is a black and gold look with all Coastal Scents products.

What a difference makeup makes. This is also to show you all half of me without makeup since I don't have the confidence to show a bare face yet...we'll get there eventually :) I also bought Maybelline Collasal Mascara. I like it but nothing compares to MAC Studio Fix Mascara yet.
On my lips is Viva Glam Gaga Lipglass
Also, I went to Target because my makeup case no longer closes. Time for some storage!

I put the palettes in letter organizers (5.99) and everything else in storage drawers (5.99), each labeled in the order I use them (Face to Lips). Also have tape for my eye looks, tissue and baby oil for clean up, and MAC brush cleaner. And yes, my room is full of Spongebob because I'm a little kid at heart and loved Spongebob since the 6th grade lol
Can't wait till Thursday when the new Pro Longwear Foundation comes out. I think I'm going to do a MAC haul that day. There's so much I want.
xoxo Beauties and have a fab weekend

Embrace Your Cosmetic Addiction

The MUG Motto from Marlena aka Makeup Geek! It has gotten to the point where my mom is sick of me buying makeup and no one in my house understands my addiction. I ordered 3 Coastal Scents palettes hoping they would arrive when my mom wasn't home. Luckily, I got out of class early and as soon as I got home the mail lady arrived with my package...but my mom saw me with the box and asked, Who ordered something? More makeup! Didn't get away with that one...
Anywho, here's what I ordered

88 Regular, 10 Professional Blush Palette, Blush and Contour Palette
I'm very impressed but I am disappointed in the darkest shade used to contour. I'm going to wait until I get my color back being that I'm darker with summertime and try to see if this color will show up on me later.
So I of course did a look with this. Here was my inspiration from Marlena

Her Bollywood Style Makeup
& here's my take on it

This whole look was done with the 88 Matte and I used the very last blush in the Contour and Blush Palette. The contour shade is barely noticeable and I tried highlighting under the eye but you can't really tell in the photos.
Overall, I'm very pleased and now own 4 CS Palettes :) I highly recommend!
And I'm so happy to be near 50 followers, currently 42. Thank you all so much

Arabic Inspired Look

I love Make up Addict's blog! I always wanted to achieve an Arabic look but always found it difficult. I had all the time in the world today and tried to replicate her look:

It's so gorgeous. Here's my version

EYES
UDPP
NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk
Blue on lid & purple are from my Coastal Scents Palette
Blue on crease is from Maybelline Saphire Siren
Highlight is MAC Eyeshadow in Grain
NYC Liquid Liner
NYC Eye Pencil on waterline
Between the two liners is NYX Glitter Liner in Silver
Lower lash line is black from my CS Palette
MAC Studio Fix Mascara
Brows filled in with MAC Eyeshadow in Brun
CHEEKS
MAC Blushcreme in Posey
LIPS
MAC Lipstick in Lovelorn
MAC Viva glam Gaga Lipgloss

What do you guys think? This is my first time trying the Arabic Look. The tape really helped with the harsh edge.

Shimmery Smokes

It's Labor Day weekend woot woot! I started the partying early and went out last night being that I only had one class today. I went party hopping with my friend Stephanie and her friend Nicole. Here's the look I did for it

I used Coastal Scents 88 Shimmer Palette to achieve this look with browns, silvers, and greys along with Viva Glam Gaga lipgloss!
And just a random flick from the night

Today I ordered the Coastal Scents 88 Regular Palette, Pro Blush Palette, and the Contour and Blush Palette from BeautyChoice.com. It took $10 off when you use the code soniacts which is the YouTube Guru. BC's prices are a little less expensive then the CS prices so check it out. I can't wait for my order.
xoxo Have a safe and enjoyable Labor Day weekend and try not to party to hard.. haha jk.. PARTY HARD!

My Face Melted =O

Every woman's nightmare! Ahhhh!!
Today was the first day of classes and I'm an official junior on my way to becoming a teacher as well as minoring in spanish, yipee. Still hate the Praxis but what can I do? Things happen. Thanks to everyone who especially commented and made me feel ALOT better.
It was 95 degrees today and I put all my makeup prepping to the test and sadly, FAIL! Luckily it failed at 1pm when I got out of class. But ugh whatever, it's only school. I might invest in a bottle from Skindanavia and see how that works even though fall is slowly approaching.
This morning I read Yuri's Beauty Blog and found out about the Viva Glam Bag release. Go check out her blog!! She does such pretty looks :)So after class I rushed over to MAC and picked it up. Woot woot, still in stock :)

Too cute! MAC even has these stickers too

Then I went over to Sephora to try some NARS blushes. To be honest, I don't even know what combo is on my face because I just kept mixing and trying blushes.

I think it's a mix of Dolce Vita, Love Joy, and i dont know. lol. I was just having too much fun in there
Ciao for now ladies :)
& I will get revenge on that effing PRAXIS!!!!!
