What a Snob!

Happy Monday. So remember my last post about my eyebrows, I went to MAC and had an MUA show me how to fill them in. She filled them with Stud. I like how she did it but I thought it was too dark and bought Spiked along with Stud.

This is how the MUA did it. I love how she shaped them. Later I had to go to a Sweet 16 and like an idiot I wiped it off to try out Spiked.

I like how my makeup turned out, but when I tried to do my brows, it wasn't as good as the MUA, but what can I say, it takes practice.
Also, while at MAC I returned 6 empty containers and got Sketch eyeshadow, which is what I'm wearing on my crease along with Vainglorious on my lid.
& just some random flicks of me at the Sweet 16. The theme was Alice in Wonderland.

& my parents :)
& today's face of the day is what I called "What A Snob"
Today, since it's so ugly and raining, I kept my eyes very neutral with browns from my Coastal Scents palette and used Snob l/s & Revenge is Sweet l/g on my lips. I also tried redoing my brows this time with Stud. I think it came out a lot better then Spiked.

What do you think? Revenge is Sweet makes a sheer purple effect on Snob which I kind of like since Snob is a bright pink. It was also perfect to kinda brighten up such a gloomy day.
Anyway, 5 more days till my birthday :) I'll be 20 on Saturday Oct 2 and already got a few early bday gifts I can't wait to share with all of you in my next post!
Love you all xoxo

Venomous Villains & other MAC goodies!

I have been so excited for this collection and even more excited about the unveiling party! I ended up spending $147 at MAC and bought 2 things from their permanent line. There was a line to get in the store and when me and my sister finally made it in, it was super packed. My MAC store is super small so we didn't take much pictures inside or try on the costumes, but we got a few pics.

& here are my goodies

from left to right, Devishly Stylish, Wicked Ways, Revenge is Sweet, Heartless, Innocence Beware!, Snob (permanent), Vainglorious, De-Vil, Cushy cremestick liner (permanent)
I'm happy with everything I bought. I'll have more looks and things with this in upcoming posts but today I was so excited I used a few products.

FACE
Revlon PhotoReady in Cappuccino
MAC Cremeblush Posey
NYC Translucent Setting Powder
EYES
NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk
Gold from my CS Palette on lid
De-vil on crease
NYC Liquid Liner

Wicked Ways l/g

Heartless is such a pretty red. It is my first red lipstick and I love how it looks! More on this collection during the rest of the week. This is my first MAC haul and the most I've ever spent in one visit and pretty more splurges to come.

Carpe Diem. Sieze the day

Hola my beauty lovers. I called this carpe diem because I have so much to share with you all! So I'm seizing the day with this blog post. Hope you don't mind. So I have some goodies I'd like to share with you all.
I wore MAC Pro Longwear Foundation for 14 full hours. I applied it at 11am, went out later at night without reapplying the foundation, and washed it off a little after 2am. Christine on temptalia said testing out foundation is a longer process which I agree. So far this is my first impression and I am very impressed.
PROS
Packaging
The pump locks
You get a good amount with one pump
A little goes a long way
I think of it as a face stain in my opinion
Very natural finish
Nontransferable! I had this problem with Studio Fix and Sculpt
Doesn't feel heavy
CONS
If you apply to much, it easily looks cakey
Still need to blot, but not as much. My face wasn't as shiny as it would get with Studio Sculpt
Overall, I'm very, very happy with this foundation and I wanted to show you all how I looked at 2am. I was a little shiny but I was out partying so it was kind of expected, but I'm still impressed with the lasting power. For reference, I am NW45.

Next, I wanted to try a Fall look.

I wanted something to match my nails, so I went to my Coastal Scents palette but didn't really have the colors I wanted. I wanted some pigmented oranges and yellows which CS kind of lacked, but I still gave it a go. I'm not 100% happy with it. Personally, I think I needed some darker versions of these colors in my collection, like the CS Fall Festival Palette.

Next...I wanted to talk about Revlon PhotoReady. (I'm wearing it above) I remembered looking at Temptalia's foundation matrix and my match was supposedly Cappucino. I picked it up and am wearing it right now. I wanted to show you all the comparisons with my Pro Longwear.
Here are the bottles taken with flash, as you can see, the colors are very similar.
without flash, pro longwear on top, revlon on bottom
with flash, pro longwear on top, revlon on bottom
with flash, pro longwear on top, revlon on bottom
w/o flash, pro longwear on top, revlon on bottom
I don't know how many hours PhotoReady is supposed to last so I'll have a better review on it next time, but right now it feels lightweight and gives a nice finish. Very pleased to find a drugstore foundation I can go to. It was $12 at Target!
Also, since I'm running low on Fresh Brew l/s and Tuesday I'm gona spend all my$ on VV, I tried looking for a dupe. I had no idea how hard dupes are to find! I picked up Revlon l/s in Champagne on Ice and NYC Liquid lip shine in Cappucino.

Revlon and NYC are no match for my MAC, but I ended up liking how the two work together even though its not nude
in natural sunlight by my window

with flash
& lastly, yes I'm almost done, I bought Crest White Strips. This is day two wearing them so I'll keep you all posted by the end of the week.
Okay I'm done! Thank you all for taking the time to read, comment, stop by, check out my goodies, everything. I'm almost at 50 followers! :)
xoxo If you have any good drugstore finds, let me know!

It's Friday!!!

TGIF! Today is payday so what did I do? Right after class I went straight to MAC to get matched for their Pro Longwear Foundation, especially since I'm getting lighter again. Turns out I went from NC55 in Studio Fix to NW45 in Pro Longwear...kinda weird going from NC to NW. I think the MUA was bsing me, she told me it's how my skin reacts to the weather. To be honest, I don't know but the color does match me well.

They're both the same size and I like how the new foundation has a pump. I will be testing this out this weekend. I'm so excited because the other day I wore Studio Fix and right around 8 hours of wear (the lasting time) I noticed it fading and looking just BAD so I have high expectations for Pro Longwear.
& here's me today

I used my neutral MAC shadows today Woodwinked and Handwritten and to jazz it up a bit I'm wearing Viva Glam Gaga lipglass.
A lot of you liked my hair straight. I'm a sucker for curly hair but might have it straight again to switch it up. Thanks for the compliments! I really do appreciate it.
Also wanted to show some linky love to the ones who always stop by my blog, check out theirs. They are all amazing!
